Abstract

Communication within high-context cultures often triggers barriers and misunderstandings in global interactions because the messages conveyed tend to be implicit and highly dependent on situational and social backgrounds. This study aims to analyze the fundamental concepts of high-context culture in communication, alongside its correlation with the dynamics of social interaction in the modern era. This research utilizes a qualitative approach with a literature review method to examine various academic references such as books, scientific journals, and cross-cultural communication theories. The analysis is directed toward finding a solution in the form of a cultural adaptation model to address questions regarding how non-verbal messages and social cues can be accurately decoded to minimize conflict. The supposition reveal that a cavernous perception of local predictable and circumstantial sensitivity are key to prosperous high-context communication. In closure, cross-cultural communication efficacy does not solely rely on the utter words, but on the propensity to scruntinize the accompanying surroundings. Instantly, the insinuation is that modern communication curriculum buildout and global tuition need to place greater prominence on strengthening intellectual intelligence to erect more harmonious relationships in multicultural surroundings.
